New owners on-air

The STAR 101.3 radio station changed hands Sept. 7, bought by six local investors who make up Empire Broadcasting Corp.
Formerly owned by Anastos Media Group out of New York City, the station describes itself as Saratoga County's hometown radio station playing Saratoga County’s best music variety. That local focus will still be a priority, according to Fran Dingeman, general manager, who has been with 101.3 for 14 years.
“Our intention is to focus even more on Saratoga County, local news, and weather,” she said. “I’m excited about what’s to come.”
