Sorry For The Lack of Posts

I am sorry for the lack of new posts. I hope you are understanding that medical issues come first. I have been quite ill. I have new swollen lymph nodes in my groin now. These are quite tender and uncomfortable. I still have the ones in my arm and armpit. I still have the tumor between my liver and kidney. The doctors say my organs are so close (I guess since I'm short) that they can't tell which organ it is on. It is a firm, non-movable tumor. I feel it every time I roll to my right side. One good thing though- my blood pressure has been normal when I've gone to the doctor. He thinks it was probably up due to anxiety and pain. I also do not have any autoimmune diseases like Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis. RA does run in my family, but I didn't think I had it. My blood work shows that my bone marrow is having problems making new platelets. This new doctor seems to think I might have a blood cancer (just like the other doctors) too. But maybe this doctor will actually decide to do something other than wait. We'll see. I go back to see him next week.

My oldest daughter has been having medical issues too. She has been getting recurring kidney infections all summer. Now her doctor said that she has a bacteria which is resistant to most antibiotics available in pill form. Not good. It is sensitive to two. One she is allergic to and the other made her vomit, even with anti-nausea medications. We are awaiting further test results. He said that she might need to be hospitalized for other IV-only antibiotics. I pray it doesn't come down to that, but what else can they do if she can't take the other antibiotics. I have always worried about this possibility since she has always had to take so many antibiotics for her kidney problems since she was born. She is terrified that she is going to die. I keep trying to reassure her, but this is a scary situation. I try to be optimistic and not let her see I'm worried and scared too, just like her. She's seventeen so she isn't fooled.

So with all this going on, I might be absent a lot. I see people have continued to come by even though I haven't posted in awhile. I am probably going to turn off the ability to leave comments though. I just really can't deal with the trolls right now.

On another subject: I just wanted to warn people about NetZero. We had internet service through them for awhile as we had no other options at the time (other than expensive satellite). When our local phone company offered DSL we decided to switch our ISP. Nathan called NetZero to cancel our old service in January. They said it would be canceled and no further money would be deducted. Every month since, they have continued to deduct the money. Nathan has been calling them multiple times every month for eight months. NetZero says every time that the service is canceled, no more money will be deducted, and that they will refund the money in 7-10 days. So eight months later, we finally canceled our bank card and had to get a new one. The bank is looking into the matter and said they will get us the refund. We filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, and the California State Attorney General (NetZero is based in California). So those of you thinking about getting any type of internet services through NetZero, you might want to consider other options. You don't want to end up in a similar situation.


One more thing: Don't Vote For Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan!!!! I have written posts before about Paul Ryan. He wants to destroy Medicaid for poor families and Medicare for the elderly. He wants to destroy the Social Security program for those who are disabled or elderly. God only knows what else he has planned to destroy the lives of poor, disabled, and elderly citizens. We will all be old one day so this will affect every single one of us, unless you are one of the few wealthy. Do you think you can save enough for your retirement and future health costs in this economy? Do you want to kill children by denying them health care because they are low-income? People need to get off their selfish asses and do what is right for once. Many citizens need these programs. You or your family might need these programs at some point in the future. I would rather have my tax dollars go towards poor, disabled, or elderly people than jackasses like Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Mitt Romney is a fool for choosing Paul Ryan. I know Obama isn't great either, but ANYONE is better than Paul Ryan. So please, DO NOT VOTE FOR ROMNEY/RYAN!!!!
