But wait...there's more!

Well, all of you jerks who whine and bitch about any tax dollars going to the poor will be happy. Today I received a letter from DCSE stating that 'other' insurance was obtained- no insurance card though. For what- another month before he loses this job? Once again, DCSE has messed up my daughter's health insurance. It'll be messed up for months before I can get them to fix it. Although she technically still has Medicaid, they will no longer make any payments for her medical care. She had just seen the doctor who was going to set up her kidney reflux tests again. So now she won't be able to get it done unless we can come up with the cash to pay out of pocket, which will cost a couple thousand dollars for the multiple tests. The family is brainstorming on how to come up with the money. We have to get it done. She hasn't been well lately. We can't have her go into kidney failure. Are you happy jerks? Not one penny of the tax dollars you or I pay will go towards her medical care.

You know, there are millions of parents across the United States who have to go through similar ordeals. They have a sick child. Either they have insurance who won't pay or they no insurance. So the parents have to come up with the money themselves. In America, you can not get seen by a doctor or have medical tests done unless the money situation is settled first. One- you have insurance that will be billed (and they check it first to make sure you are indeed eligible). Two- you pay up front for the entire cost of the medical care and tests. Three- you go through the ER, which is the only place where you can get medical care first (why do you think they are always so busy). The cost of medical care is outrageously high in America. No one but the rich can afford to pay out of pocket for it. There is no real national health care (all the selfish jerks and private insurance companies have made sure of that). That is why you find so many charity jars sitting around in convenience stores. The poor, desperate parents have a seriously ill child who needs medical care but they can't afford it. So they have to resort to begging for help. It shouldn't be like this.

Many other countries have national health care systems so they don't have to go through this. But Americans are much too selfish to have taxes go towards this. They don't want a penny of their money to go towards a good cause. How many of you have heard some jerk say, "Why should I have to pay for other people's health care?" Well, they already are paying for health care to government officials who also receive $175,000 a year for a salary. Just so you know, I am using Governor McDonnell's salary as my example. Apparently they think it is fine to pay for health care for individuals who make almost two hundred thousand dollars a year but it's not okay to pay towards health care for the rest of America's citizens who make way less. They make no sense at all. I'd much rather have my tax dollars go towards everyday people than towards the assholes who try to suppress us. But apparently that's just me.

I Was Notified Today That Virginia Doesn't Allow Freedom of Speech

I was really sick all weekend and then had to deal with this today. Some days I can hardly get out of bed from being so ill. Other days are better days as far as my health and I can function like a human. Today I felt better than I had over the weekend and I thought it would be an okay day, until this happened. Now my fever has spiked high and I am feeling quite unwell again. Stress and anxiety make it worse. Two state troopers and a VDOT worker came to our home today. Instead of our neighbor walking over to talk to us nicely, she left extremely rude and uninformed comments on my blog. Our neighbor's behavior went beyond pettiness and was lower than any human I have ever known. They whined to their VDOT friends and turned my blog over to the State of Virginia. Wasn't that so nice of them? Don't you wish you had neighbors like that? What great human beings they are. They should inspire us all to be just like them. Instead of being nice and caring, let's all be petty and vindictive. Let's all be cruel, heartless people.

VDOT lied to the state troopers. They told the police we could stay in our home, when they had told us we had to leave. VDOT had told us that they did not want to be landlords and were going to sell the house. But of course, they lied to the police. They wouldn't want to look bad, now would they?

The state trooper started off by asking me how I was. At that moment I knew he'd read my blog and that this was happening due to the neighbors. I didn't answer him. I just looked in his eyes and I already knew what he was going to say. Then he asked me if I wrote this blog. Why lie? I hate liars. So I said yes.

The state trooper then told me that some of the things I had written could be construed as threats. For example the voodoo doll part. It was a joke! A fucking joke! And the state sees a voodoo doll joke as a threat! So listen up everyone- you CAN NOT joke about making a voodoo doll in America. I guess Spencer's and other such places should now be banned from selling joke voodoo dolls (or the ones sold in coin machines). But the trooper said it could be seen as threatening. He was being totally serious. Does he and our government actually believe the nonsense that a voodoo doll can harm someone? What century is this? WHAT CENTURY? I guess if you are an individual who believes in such things in America, you will be denied your freedom of religion; at least in Virginia. Oh, and when I'd written about the machete- it was a thought created out of anger at being threatened. Merely a thought, but apparently I do have control of myself because I did nothing. You would be a liar if you said you never had an angry thought. Humans are not saintly, nor gods. We have basic primal instincts that create such thoughts. You threaten any mother animal and she will attack you. We have those same primal instincts, but it is our higher level of thought processing that prevents us from actually taking action like an animal. But apparently a mere fleeting thought after being threatened is also considered a threat in Virginia. Virginians- you CAN NOT have an angry thought ever, so I guess you should stop being human.

The trooper told me that I would have to watch what I write on my blog. So I said, "Oh, so we don't actually have the freedom of speech in Virginia." You should have seen his expression. He told me that the Commonwealth had read my blog and that I could not write certain things or anything that could be construed as a threat. He said a judge could see it whatever way he wanted (isn't that the truth and it would not be for the citizen). Well, wouldn't that be my entire blog? Because I do not agree with the entire government's corruption. So Virginia wants to tell people that they do not have the freedom of speech, which is our First Amendment Right. If you have to watch what you say or write, then you do not have FREEDOM. Celebrating for freedom and independence on July 4th is a complete farce.

I love how they came after me for writing, but my ex-husband beat me to the point that I had to go to the hospital and he threatened to kill me more than once. He almost did on a couple of occasions. Our Virginia Judicial System did nothing to him. Nothing! But I get threatened by a cop about being taken to court by the state for writing my thoughts and opinions. It is a shame that a government can threaten a family over something as the freedom of speech when those who actually harm others are not bothered.

For all of this, we have our rude neighbors to thank. Some people are totally disrespectful.

Just a Little Trail Ride

To contact us Click HERE

My friend Diana has been wanting to get together for a trail ride for a while. I hadn’t had the chance to ride with her, but had been out with her several times for cart driving with her beautiful Welsh Cob/Arabian pony Miss Dixie.

So, I recently invited her over to my house for a fun little trail ride out on the trails behind my neighborhood.

IMG_5433

Diana has a big stout, older, TB/Draft mare, named Glory whom she raised from a foal. Diana told me that Glory was a wild child in her younger years. But Glory is a calm, patient, willing mare now.

IMG_5437

Apache was blissfully happy to be back out on the trails for a couple hours. She loves to take everything in and just mosey along.

IMG_5444

We weren’t in any hurry and spent a lot of time allowing our horses to graze while we talked and visited and just explored.

IMG_5445

Big ‘ol Glory really steps out, while my Apache mare is on the slow side. But we still took turns letting our horses follow and lead.

IMG_5447

And it was nice to ride side-by-side, too.

IMG_5449

We mostly stayed on the smooth dirt trails that circle around back behind my neighborhood, but we also traveled on the gravel roads, too.

IMG_5451

And we rode up through the pinon and juniper to the ridgeline, too.

IMG_5441

It’s very rocky up on top of the ridge, but I’m so happy with how tough my Apaches mare’s barefeet have become with all the riding we’ve been doing in the mountains this year. She never gets gimpy or sore barefoot and just motors right on over all the rocks, like they’re not even there.

IMG_5442

It was wonderful how well Glory and my Apache got along together, like good friends, even for their first time on a trail ride together.

IMG_5455

Beside my neighborhood is a pasture with big black angus cattle. In the past when we’ve ridden by, Apache has given these cows a hairy eyeball. She just stops and stares and seems to want to go after them. *grin*

IMG_5458

There aren’t any bulls being pastured next door, just 6 cow and calf pairs.

IMG_5459

This Mama cow was sure feisty! She came right at us and would have probably tried to chase us had there not been a fence separating us. She gave poor Glory a fright when she trotted over and caused her to spook right up in the air!

IMG_5460

After a couple hours of riding, we rode through my neighborhood, heading back to my house (there on the left straight ahead) and Diana’s horse trailer.

IMG_5464

It was another great day riding my wonderful Apache mare with a good friend.

Searching for the Lorax

To contact us Click HERE

I took my kids out hiking recently to do some letterboxing just down the road from our house. I love it when fellow letterboxers place a letterbox close-by, so we don’t have to drive far.

I forgot my camera (gasp!), but I did have my cell phone. So don’t expect much in the way of photo quality.

We had never hiked in this area before, so it was wonderful that this letterbox brought us to someplace new that is close enough to hike (or ride my horse) anytime we want to.

This area is off of Bartolo Baca Rd in the Manzanos and has a wonderful pull-through parking area, roomy enough for horse trailers (you know that I am always scoping out new places to ride!).

(And there are perfectly-sized mounting boulders right at the trailhead, too)

downsized_0925121311

And even though the main trail traveled through a rocky arroyo, a secondary trail went straight up onto a beautiful, tree-lined, mostly flat, sandy path, which already had hoof prints on them!

0925121431

We were in this National Forest area to search for a series of letterboxes called The Lorax.

(Jen doing her best impersonation of The Lorax)

downsized_0925121338b

There were 3 boxes with 3 separate puzzle-shaped stamps that formed a complete image of The Lorax in the woods, when they were stamped together in our log books.

downsized_0925121420

We really enjoyed the very creative clues, wonderful stamps and beautiful location.

0925121359

It was great to be out on a hike with my kids. And they seemed to enjoy letterboxing with their Mama and exploring a new trail, too.

downsized_0925121338

The hike started off sunny, but by the time we were done finding all the boxes, clouds had rolled in and as we piled into my van, the first raindrops fell from the sky.

downsized_0925121429 (1)

Of course, it never really did rain, but you just never know with our mountain weather, so we were happy to be off the trails when the skies grew dark and cloudy.

We had a great day!

The Differences Between The Sexes In Video Games

To contact us Click HERE
I know this isn't my usual topic, but I just wanted to talk about it. There is a vast difference between how men and women play video games. I've watched others play, both female and male. Recently, I was playing an online game with other people, guys to be exact. So anyway, I felt like a tag-along. The guys rushed through like they had hot coals up their ass, so all I could do was hurry along or get left behind. The guys I played with hogged all the prize and point bubbles. If I tried to go for them, they'd rush to get them before me. I thought we were supposed to be doing it as a team. I guess I was wrong. So I ended up just standing there waiting for them while they ran around collecting them. Why fight them for the bubbles? Then they do things to your character. For example: hit them, pick them up and throw them, throw things at them, etc. Females don't play like that, or at least the ones I have seen. Guys play games aggressively. Females don't. Guys talk all kinds of trash to each other in online games. I don't ever hear the females doing this. Why do guys even ask females to play with them?

I used to play The Sims games exclusively. They are completely different from other games.  So I am just getting use to other types of games. I've warned the guys I've played with about my experience and they say it's okay, but I feel so... I don't know. Inadequate? Then the way they act during game play makes me feel worse. I haven't dedicated my life to playing games. It is just something fun to do sometimes and to take my mind off problems. I like to play for fun. They make me feel like I let them down or something, like they expected me to play like a man.  Females just aren't competitive like males. Maybe I'm just being sensitive.

I have a few people on my Friends' list. They are all guys. I haven't had any females send a friend request. But then I haven't sent any friend requests either. All the guy "friends" sent me a request. Nathan says they just want to be friends with me because I have a feminine name. Isn't that sad? Then of course, every single guy starts asking about age. Females are more touchy about the age question than males are. It bothers me. I'm not old, but I feel like they would not talk to me if I told them my age. So I basically ignore their question. I want to have "friends" to play games with and chat to. Nathan doesn't totally like it. He says he knows how men think. Everything has been strictly platonic. I'm not stupid. Nor do I want anything else. I love Nathan. He gets to talk to other people online, so why can't I? Sometimes I want to socialize too. More males play video games than females, so of course I'll come across more males.

Some of the guys have wanted to use the voice chat in the game. I always turn it off. I hate talking, but I love messaging. Weird? For me writing it is so much easier. I like socializing if I don't have to actually talk. Maybe I am weird. Nathan hates messaging. I'm always sending him little love messages. He rarely messages me back. He told me, "Why should I send a message when I can just tell you?" But I think it is fun. Why can't he just play along? He used to write me love letters. What's the difference? Nathan has made remarks about my lack of wanting to talk to people on the phone too. I hate talking on the phone. Quite unfeminine, I know, but I do love emailing and messaging. Thank god for the new age in that respect.

Well...just a rambling post really.
Until next time.
