The Turf Club Restaurant at 139 Union Ave. has closed its doors, shutting up a Saratoga eatery that offered locally grown and purchased food. Dedicated to high quality and personal service, the Turf Club did catering and featured live entertainment.

Beverly Reedy and her son Rob Cone opened the restaurant in May 2011. Reedy also owned the popular Saratoga Springs breakfast spot Beverly’s for 23 years before it closed earlier this year. Cone acted as chef at the Turf Club.

The two restaurateurs rented the building from owners Peter and Leslie DiCarlo, who ran the Springwater Inn there during the 1990s, and again from 2009 to 2010. In between, the building was home to chef David Britton’s Springwater Bistro for eight years.

“We wanted to thank our customers for the good time we had,” said the Turf Club owners in a Facebook post. “You will be missed.”
